Panama Canal Cruise in review
We left from sunny Ft. Lauderdale for a 10-day cruise through the Caribbean Sea on Island Princess.
Our traveling group was Millie & Harry (Peggy's brother & his wife), Sarah & Eva, Maurine & Robert, Arthur (Millie's brother), and Peggy (photographer for this shot).
It was a wonderful chance to enjoy time together and see the beauties of this earth and sea. We had a marvelous time!
Here's the gang at sailaway. If you haven't cruised, you really should. You see a different seaport and city each day. And you don't have to repack your suitcase. The food is included--fine dining with a five-course dinner every night, which is part of the fun and adventure.
For years Dad and Mom have dreamed of going to the Panama Canal. It was a dream come true for them and for us! Dad's favorite part was going through the locks (which we will review in a few days).
Bon voyage!

Yeah, Princess!
Here we come! We're off to the Panama Canal for a 10-day cruise!
We have been saving for this for awhile now ... and are very excited!
We have been saving for this for awhile now ... and are very excited! Today we fly to Ft. Lauderdale. Then two days at sea. First stop Aruba for some sorkeling amid the shipwreck and of course some beach time. Then Cartegena, Colombia, where we plan to visit the mud volcano during our exploring. Then we do a partial transit into the Panama Canal and turn around at Gatun Lake. Next stop Cristobal (Colon) for some shopping and exploring. Next we float the river on an innertube (well, some of us) at Limon in Costa Rica. Then a relaxing day at sea before going to Ocho Rios in Jamaica. There we will ride a chairlift thru the rain forest and on to Dunn's River Falls. Everyone says you gotta see that! Then another glorious day at sea before landing back in Ft. Lauderdale for the flight home.
Ooohh, can't wait. We'll miss you all! and take lots of pictures!
