California Vacation

It was California or Bust!
Brayden and Kaitlyn had never been to Disneyland.
We had a wonderful time!

Sea World was probably our favorite! It was a big splash!

The Wild Animal Park in San Diego was our first experience. We all loved it.

New Look for Front Yard

Before and After
The whole project has taken a couple of years, but we're getting closer. We're still going to add artificial grass.

We needed a new driveway because of cracks and uneven spots, so the flower bed and tree had to go. Sarah was a great helper. The whole family pitched in--and some neighbors.

We also cut down the pine tree near the sidewalk. We could not have done it without Jon and John.

Next we cut down the tree by the house--it was blocking our window view anyway.

We decided to go with steps from the house to the street. We love that part, especially the color!

Then we were ready for concrete.

Next, the rockscaping. Here you see Ashley and Mom placing rocks. It was a big job. We all pitched in.

Rhonda and Peggy got down and dirty. Eva too.

It is still a work in progress. The reality is we spent our yard budget on Radar's hospital bill.

We are going to put artificial grass over the black area. Stay tuned! We will finish it.

Our Doggies

We loved our Samson since 1990, when he was a sweet yet very active puppy. He was the same age as Sarah.

He had a great life but passed away in the fall of 2006. We said no more dogs, but the house was lonely.
Peggy lasted 3 weeks and then found Radar. He was cute and sweet and irrestible. He is a Jack Russell Terrier mix.

We fell in love right away!

Radar was mischevious and hyperactive, so we decided he needed a companion. Six months later we got Sofie. She is a miniature Schnauzer.

They grew and grew, as did our love for them. There is just something about a pet dog!

Radar likes to play in the water--any water. Sofie just likes to be loved.

Now we are the proud owners of two doggies!
