Eye surgery

Friday I had the muscle tightened in my eye because it was drifting 30 degrees to the left. Here I am still in the hospital.
I had the sutures adjusted the next day. I really couldn't see anything.

The oozing is gone but bruising showed up.
Better every day. I can almost see now, and it's only Monday night!

Dad's Surgery

On March 17, Dad had his first surgery for deep brain stimulator implants. Here he is after 6 days. He had 15 staples.

Here he is after 8 days with staples removed. And after 10 days.

He looks much better after a shower, and he's healing well.

New Roof

Millie reminded us that we have not posted pictures of our new roof. So, here goes.
It was a really big job, but we had such good helpers.

While one team worked to replace the skylights.

Another team gave the entire roof a new coat of wood. They determined that was easier and better than replacing all the weak spots. And would result in a very strong roof.

Peggy patched the hole inside where the swamp cooler used to be.
Eva helped outside as much as possible.

We all helped as much as we could. Sarah pitched in too.
We had some late nights.

We hired a roofing team to put on the new shingles. It only took them a day and a half. They were wonderful because they had to work around our ward workers.
The end result, we have new skylights that are taller and stronger. They are surrounded by a rubber membrane (the white covering).
Our new roof is guaranteed for 30 years. We love that part!

The best part: it's done!
