Roofing got rained out, sooooo we played!

We were planning to take 2 layers of shingles off our roof on Saturday so the roofer could give us new ones, but then it rained!
Jenn's children are staying with us for a week, so we decided to play! Wow did we have fun at Boondocks.

Brayden, Kaitlyn, Peggy, Sarah, Eva

Soon it was lunchtime. (You have to keep feeding those kids!)

Then we took an hour off and went to the ward social.

Back to Boondocks, but this time we added Justin
(latest closest friend of the family).
It was great fun.

Gang's all here + Justin Jenn: They are really great kids!
(I must be getting old because my feet really hurt!)

Eating and Shopping

On Saturday we drove our cute dogs and our cute daughter to Logan.

We had lunch at Cafe Sabor. It is great Mexican food!

Then we were off to Casper's Creamery for FatBoy seconds and caramel corn.

Pepperidge Farm has great seconds too, so we stopped in.

Next stop--Gossner's for cheese and samples.

Then we stopped to visit Mom and Dad at Camperworld.

Eva and Sarah went swimming

while Mom and Dad enjoyed the barbeque.

We all enjoyed the outing.

and then drove home.

On Monday we shopped and ate some more--around town!

Dolls on Mother's Day

Rhonda discovered that Mom wanted her baby doll repaired. Mom got the doll when she was 8 years old (back in 1944). Rhonda took the doll to a local doll hospital for repair. She got all of us siblings to pitch in.
Here is Mom's MaMa doll in full repair, including a new dress authentic to the time--65 years ago.
We gave her the doll for Mother's Day. She was not surprised, but she was delighted!
Eva had the idea for each of us to bring our dolls to the party. It was fun.
Sarah has 2 favorites. Eva also has 2 dolls.
Rhonda and Eva had matching baby dolls (ordered from a cereal box) back in their youth.
Lisa is a doll lover from way back. She had the most dolls!

Rob was in Hawaii with the doll he still loves!

It was really fun to share doll stories.
